Challenge 3: Automation.
Thompson Financial and Reuters use computers to automatically produce some stories. According to the Financial Times, Thompson can make an earnings story in less than a minute.
Tansa is essentially a spelling checker on steroids. It includes phrases and local expressions. The company says it can reduce typos by as much as 90 percent and make copy editing as much as 40 percent more efficient.
These items aren’t new, but they might be worth thinking about in a different way.
Also not new, but probably new to us, is Innovator’s Insight. This issue considers the potential for China and India to be opportunities instead of just threats to U.S. manufacturing.
It’s a PDF for a different industry. But similar perspective could be applied for us.
